Volunteer
- What if I’m late?
When you are scheduled to volunteer, you will receive a beginning and end time for that volunteer event.
Please arrive on time. Contact your on site contact if you will be late.
- Where do I sign up to volunteer?
- Does your program count towards my volunteer hours?
Yes! Making A Stand Society is on the State probation list for TN, Rutherford County, and we work with TNAcheives!
- What if I have to leave early?
In the case of an emergency we understand if a person must leave early or if they have transportation that may end up having to leave early.
We will sign off for the hours you’ve completed for the day.
However, if you need to leave more than one event early, we will not continue to schedule you.
- Can I bring food/drink?
Outside Food/Drinks are not permitted at the majority of our volunteer events.
Meals are typically provided for volunteers volunteering 8 hours or more.
- Do you offer transportation?
No, we do not at this time. To help us raise funds donate here!
- What if I didn’t receive my hours/get verification?
Contact our office (615)231-0921 to speak with our Volunteer Coordinator.
We keep volunteer attendance on file for up to a year.
- Do you have job opportunities once I’m finished volunteering?
- Can I sign up for more than one person to volunteer?
Yes. Bring a friend!
- What do I need to wear when volunteering?
CLEAR BAGS ONLY
Nissan Stadium, Ascend Amphitheater, Vanderbilt University, Boro Knights Field:
- Black T-shirt
- Black khakis or uniform pants
- All black close-toed shoes
- NO crocs
Geodis Park:
- Black shirt
- Denim blue jeans
- All black closed-toed shoes
- Is there handicap accessibility?
All venues are handicap accessible. Please Contact us about specific needs if you are concerned.
- How many hours can I volunteer in one day?
Events are between 4 and 8 hours.
- What if I can’t make it to volunteer after I signed up?
Please respond about the cancellation to your confirmation email or call the number of your on site contact provided in your confirmation email.
- What is the youngest someone can volunteer?
M.A.S.S. works with youth volunteers weekly for community service & school purposes.

We keep record of our check in from each event for up to six months.
- What type of volunteer opportunities do you offer?
Volunteers will work as runners serving hot dogs, soda, nachos etc. They also will help with any cleaning (washing dishes, sweeping floors, taking out trash etc). These events are located in Nashville and Murfreesboro, TN. Some of our events involve volunteering at our youth program’s practices or games hosted by the Boro Knights.
Volunteers are granted an opportunity to
genuinely serve the Middle TN community.

- Can I do more than one event?
Yes, sign up for any event based on your availability.
- Can I bring my bag/purse?

- What do I do once I arrive?
Contact your provided on site contact.
Let them know you have made it to the event location.
They will direct you to check in.
- Do I have to pay to park?
Free parking will be provided at each location, with that said, please be prepared to walk from the parking lot to the event venue.
- What’s the dress code?

- What if I don’t have an ID?
We can accept different forms of ID such as a school ID, work visa, or passport. Please contact our office for specific cases.
- Are all the events in Nashville?
Events, unless related to our youth sports side, will be in Nashville.
